Le Comptoir is one of the leaders of Cheese & Wine online subscription.
With thousands or recurring customers we’re shipping every month our delicious product selections directly imported from France to our loyal customers everywhere in Japan. We’ve also opened in November 2021 a retail shop in Shibuya, located next to Tokyu Honten / Shoto, to welcome our customers willing to buy and/or enjoy our products at our place of shopping and experience (our shop also has a tasting bar).

About the Store Manager
Our beloved store manager has to move with her family to new adventures outside of Japan (sigh). Therefore, we’re now looking for a new talent to join our dream team and manage the store & operations in Shibuya. Objective contains across multiple channels, retail, Ecommerce and B2B.
The position main objectives are :
- Responsible for Sales Objective of store and bar
- Management of 3 to 5 staff members (1 full-time, 2 long term baitos, 1+ part timers)
- Planning Management
- Store animation
- Boxes preparation (4 to 5 times a months for subscription + daily for ecommerce)
- B2B order preparation
- Product selection and development. Product quality monitoring
- Manage whole products imports process with our exporter and broker
- Event organization with internal members / external partners
Days of Work / Hours :
Shop is closed on Monday, your working dates/time is based on monthly shifts.
Profile
- Experience in retail management or senior retail associate, ideally for a french and or premium brand (food / cosmetics / fashion / restaurant)
- Native or Bilingual in Japanese (N2+ sales level)
- Business level in either English or French
- Basic conversational level in French is recommended
- Experience in international working experience is recommended
- You love food. Cheese & Wine knowledge is a plus (not mandatory)
- You like challenges and bring new ideas, working in a fast growing company (350% growth since Sept.21)
- No difficulty to work in digital savvy and start-up environment
